Here are the top stories today in Miami:

1. South Florida's residential real estate market continued to take a beating in October with closings falling nearly 30 percent amid high interest weeks and a risk of recession. The sharp decline follows a 20 percent drop in August and 25 percent drop in September. (The Real Deal - Miami)

2. An off-duty Miami-Dade police officer was arrested in Hollywood early Sunday morning for allegedly being drunk behind the wheel of a marked cruiser, according to police. The officer is now suspended with pay, according to his employer. (WPLG Local 10)

3. Record rain over the weekend left parts of South Florida flooded well into late Sunday evening. City of Miami was prepared with pumps to help relieve the streets of the water. Trucks worked overtime to help control the problem. (WSVN)

4. Santa visits are returning for families as part of the Simon Santa Photo Experience at Miami International Mall. Santa arrives on Dec. 2 and will be available until Christmas Eve. The experience will be open from Monday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Santa will also join other events at the mall. (Miami's Community News)

5. The Ninth FilmGate Interactive Media Festival is returning to Miami Art Week 2022. The festival will run from Nov. 28 and Dec. 5 and feature creators, producers, tech companies, and access to over 30 interactive experiences, 15 labs and talks, interactive exhibits, and more.
