1. Two South Florida residents each won a $1 million prize playing the new 500X the Cash scratch-off game, Florida Lottery said in a release. Both claimed their prizes at Florida Lottery's West Palm Beach district office. (Patch Miami)

2. A North Miami neighborhood is on edge after multiple police units responded in search of a repeat armed robber in the area. The suspect was captured Wednesday night during a manhunt that unfolded in the area of Northeast 129th Street and Third Avenue, as well as other blocks nearby. (WSVN)

3. Bond has been set at $100,000 for a South Florida mother charged with the attempted murder of one of her young children, say police. 22-year-old Delanys Hernandez Alvarez, of Homestead, threatened to kill her kids so their father “can’t have them," according to authorities. (CBS Miami)

4. Construction is on schedule at the 50-story Legacy Miami Worldcenter tower and a foundation pour is scheduled for next month. The 11,000 square foot concrete foundation will require 3,700 cubic yards of concrete. (The Next Miami)

5. A fire ignited on top of a Northwest Miami-Dade warehouse on Thursday morning. At least 15 people were working inside the facility when the fire broke out on the lower level. Officials said no one was injured in the fire. (WSVN)
