MIAMI BEACH, FL — Police released surveillance video Thursday of a man opening fire on a jeep along Miami Beach on Christmas Eve Day following an apparent fender bender.
Ernesto Rodriguez of the Miami Beach Police Department said the victim's jeep "made minor contact with the subject's parked vehicle" as the victims pulled out of a parking spot along Washington Avenue.
"The subject is seen on surveillance video chasing after the victim’s vehicle as he fired multiple shots towards the vehicle," Rodriguez said. "Thankfully, the impact of one of the bullets was absorbed by the vehicle’s door and only caused bruising to the female passenger in the victim vehicle."
