MIAMI, FL — An accused gunman is dead following a Miami-Dade shooting that injured several people Thursday near a Glenvar Heights car dealership and warehouse, media reports say.

The suspect was not identified. The shooting happened around 1 p.m. and injured at least four people at the Southwest 45 dealership, both Local 10 and WSVN reported.

The warehouse was evacuated, and the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office and Florida Highway Patrol were among investigating authorities, the media outlets reported.

A helicopter was on hold near the Tropical Park football field, Local 10 reported.

With Thursday marked as "Take Your Child to Work Day," the news outlet reported the shooting scared children in the area.
