  1. A South Florida man who was recorded punching a soccer referee and kicking another referee in the head after acting aggressively at the game has turned himself in to police. The man is facing multiple battery charges. The incident was captured on cell phone video. (WSVN)
  2. Understory has opened in Little River as part of a collaboration between Jaguar Sun with chefs, winemakers, and other taste creators with programming on select nights. The party venue has operated in soft opening since Art Basel and was previously the Center for Subtropical Affairs. Understory is located at 7135 NW 1st Court. (Time Out Miami)
  3. Nearly 150 pounds of cocaine was found in the Lower Keys by police on Monday, according to The Monroe County Sheriff's Office. Police said the drugs were handed over to federal authorities. (Miami Patch)
  4. The FBI is searching for a man who they allege stole from a Wells Fargo bank earlier this January in Broward County. The incident happened Jan. 8 at Kendall Soccer Park near Southwest 80th Street and 127th Avenue. Authorities said the suspect stole cash from a bank teller on Jan. 13 at 5991 Ravenswood Road in Fort Lauderdale. (WPLG Local 10)
  5. The chaos in South Florida school board leadership continues. Dr. Vickie Cartwright has once again been fired as superintendent of Broward County Public Schools. Cartwright had previously been fired in a 5-4 vote back in November 2022 by political appointees of Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and was then re-instated after the 2022 election. (NBC Miami)
