Here are the top stories in Miami today:

1. Weston residents in South Florida are concerned after a second incident this month of racist and antisemitic graffiti. A Nazi swastika was spray painted on a speed limit sign, a neighborhood sign, and a electrical box. Offensive terms for the Black community and the Jewish community were also spray painted. Concerns also come as Florida is the top state for criminals charged over the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on U.S. Capitol Hill. (NBC Miami)

2. Pembroke Pines Police on Saturday afternoon advised those near Northwest 99th Avenue and Johnson Street to leave the area due to a natural gas leak. The evacuation was lifted after officials deemed it safe to return. (WSVN)

3. PETA supporters rallied outside the Miami Seaquarium on Saturday after a USDA report on the treatment of dolphins at the facility. Activists are calling on the aquarium to send dolphins to seaside sanctuaries and live a life outside of confinement. (WPLG Local 10)

4. The Broward Sheriff's Office is hopeful that a sketch will help detectives obtain more information to crack a decades-old cold case. The victim was killed on the evening of Dec. 18, 1998. Anyone with information is asked to contact authorities. (CBS Miami)

5. Private ambulance rates in Miami-Dade are increasing between 67 percent and 110 percent as county commissioners approved an adjustment on Oct. 18. Most ambulance fee rates remained unchanged over the last two decades. Officials claim the increases will not impact most people since most fees are "typically paid by Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance." (Miami Today)

Patch deal of the day:

Good knives make all the difference in the kitchen, but you don’t need to overpay for them. Seido Japanese knives are made with strong high-carbon stainless steel (high-carbon knives are more durable and usually more expensive) and have an acute 15-degree angle for a noticeably sharper cutting face (most Western-style knives have edge angles of 25 degrees). For a limited time, Patch readers can get a 5-piece Seido Japanese master knife set for 71 percent off. At just under $70, this chef-quality set is perfect for any home cook and would also make a great gift for the holidays.
