Will Smith, 'Bad Boys' Star, Films In Miami And Fort Lauderdale

SOUTH FLORIDA — The bad boys are in south Florida!

Will Smith, whose character is one-half of the long-lived duo in the "Bad Boys" franchise, recently announced he is filming in Miami. WFLA reported filming is also taking place in Fort Lauderdale.

"D---, I LOVE this city! Bad Boys 4 is coming fast y’all," Smith said Thursday on Instagram, alongside a video of him attempting to stick a landing as an ode to his 2008 film, "Hancock."

Fort Lauderdale city officials said filming shut down multiple roads Monday morning.

Photos shared on IMDB show famed counterpart Martin Lawrence is set to return as Marcus Barnett alongside Smith, who will reprise the role of Mike Lowrey.

The film will also star actresses Vanessa Hudgens and Tasha Smith, as well as actor Alexander Ludwig.

PEOPLE reported Sunday that Smith was spotted sharing a kiss with costar Melanie Liburd while shooting a wedding scene.

A plot for the film has not been revealed but a release date has been set for June 14.
