13-Year-Old Threatened Other Students: Pasco Sheriff’s Office

The teen, who is on out-of-school suspension, made social media threats against other students, the Pasco Sheriff's Office said.

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — A 13-year-old student who is currently on out-of-school suspension from Thomas E. Weightman Middle School in Wesley Chapel was arrested for making threats against other students at the school, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office wrote in a Facebook post.

The student was charged with written threats to kill and unlawful use of a two-way communication device in connection with the social media threats.

There is currently no threat to the school or any of its students, the sheriff’s office said.

“PSO once again urges parents and guardians to speak with their children about the consequences of making threats and the dangers of sharing threats and rumors instead of reporting them immediately to law enforcement,” the agency said.
