Speeding Motorcyclist Killed In Christmas Eve Crash In Holiday: FL Troopers

A speeding motorcyclist who was passing traffic died after crashing into an SUV in Holiday, FL Highway Patrol said.

HOLIDAY, FL — A speeding motorcyclist died after a crash with an SUV in Holiday on Christmas Eve, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.

The 55-year-old Holiday man was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle west on Holiday Lake Drive around 3:15 p.m.

At the same time, a Hyundai SUV, driven by a 41-year-old Plant City woman, was heading north on Solar Drive.

At the intersection, as the motorcyclist was speeding while passing other vehicles, the SUV turned left into his path and was hit by him, FHP said.

The motorcyclist was brought to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The driver had minor injuries and wasn’t treated at a hospital.
