Man On E-Bike Died After Crash On Toucan Trail: FL Troopers
A Spring Hill man on an e-bike died after being hit by a car on Toucan Trail, FL Highway Patrol said.
HERNANDO COUNTY, FL — A 67-year-old Spring Hill man on an e-bike died after being hit by a car on Toucan Trail on Tuesday morning, Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
A Mazda 3 sedan, driven by a 63-year-old Spring Hill man, was heading west on the road, east of seaview drive, when he hit the cyclist, who was also heading west, just before 6 a.m.
The victim fell from his bike, landing in the eastbound traffic lane, FHP said.

The cyclist was brought to an area hospital, where he later died from injuries suffered during the crash.
