2 People Took Inflatable Pool 'Out To Sea,' Rescued From Gulf: Hernando County Sheriff
Two people were rescued after taking an inflatable pool out into the Gulf, the Hernando County Sheriff's Office said.

HERNANDO COUNTY, FL — Deputies made an unexpected rescue over the weekend when “two adventurous individuals decided to take an inflatable pool out to sea,” the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office wrote in a social media post.
It was “smooth sailing at first” for the duo but “the Gulf had other plans,” the sheriff’s office said.
Luckily, a deputy with the agency’s Marine Unit was nearby and brought them back to shore.

“We're glad everyone made it back safely — but let this serve as a reminder: inflatable pools belong in the backyard, not open water,” HCSO said.
