2 Suspects Sought In Armed Home Invasion
New Port Richey Police are looking for help locating two suspects in a Tuesday home invasion.
NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — The New Port Richey Police Department is looking for two suspects connected to a Tuesday armed home invasion.
The incident that sparked the search began to unfold around 1:47 p.m. Dec. 27 when police received a 911 call from a home on Ohio Avenue. Police say four males entered the home, held residents at gunpoint and then proceeded to take items from the home.
After robbing the home, police say the four suspects left the area in a black, four-door car. A short time later, the suspect car was spotted driving east on Avery Road near Astor Drive, an email from police said. The vehicle turned out to be a black 2008 Lexus that had been reported stolen out of Winter Park on Dec. 23.

Police say the detective who spotted the car began a brief chase with lights and siren activated. The Lexus’ driver, however, crashed into a tree on River Road. Two people inside the vehicle were pinned inside by a tree, an email from the police department said.
Det. Karen Norris freed a 16-year-old boy, who began to fight her, an email from the agency said. He managed to break free and tried to run, but a witness stepped in and tackled the teen, enabling his arrest. The male passenger in the car, identified as Isaac Reyes, 18, fled the car on foot and hand a gun in his hand, police said.

Officer Stephanie Pascalli chased Reyes and ordered him to drop his gun. Police say Reyes continued running, but was captured a short time later.
While the 16-year-old, who isn’t being identified due to his age, and Reyes were brought into custody Tuesday, police say two others are still wanted. They are Xavier Collins and Tyrique St. Valle, according to the agency.
“Both are considered armed and dangerous,” the email said.
Police say the 16-year-old and Reyes are both from the Orlando area. It is unclear if Collins and St. Valle are, as well.
Anyone who knows their whereabouts is asked to call the police department at 727-841-4550.
