40 Tons Of Gravel Spilled Across FL Road By Overturned Truck: Troopers
Crews are working to remove the gravel from a state road off Interstate 75 in Pasco County, FL Highway Patrol said.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — An overturned truck spilled nearly 40 tons of gravel onto the eastbound lanes of State Road 56 Monday morning shutting down the road and impacting traffic, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The Freightliner truck, which was hit by an SUV changing lanes, overturned just after 11 a.m. at the intersection of Cypress Ridge Boulevard, just east of Interstate 75.
Both drivers — a 78-year-old Wesley Chapel woman and a 59-year-old Port Richey man — were brought to local hospitals with minor injuries.

Crews are working to remove the gravel and reopen the roadway, FHP said.
