5 Things You Should Know This Weekend

1.     It will mostly cloudy today, with temperatures reaching a high near 77.  There’s a 30 percent chance of rain. On Sunday, there could be rain and a chance of thunderstorms before 1 p.m.

2.     Kyrja and the Friends of Rupert are taking to Rowan Road ofr a clean-up today. Volunteers are invited to join.  The group meets for a safety briefing at 8 a.m. at 7020 Massachusetts Ave, and then betweens to clean a two-mile stretch of Rowan from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

3.     There’a parenting children workshop planned for those with kids 5-11 years of age today. The class is at  Holiday Community Fellowship Church, 5144 Sunray Dr, Holiday, FL  and the cost is $10.

4.     Occupy New Port Richey holds it regular weekly meeting at Sims Park in New Port Richey on Sunday at 2 p.m.
