5 Things You Should Know Today, Dec. 16

1.     It will be mostly sunny today with temperatures a high near 75.

2.     Like free stuff? We know that you do. You can get free entry to a movie night planned by the Relay for Life of New Port Richey at Gulf High School football field tomorrow. The movies are “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and  Gate opens at 6, movie starts at 6:30 p.m.  Pictures can be taken with Santa Claus for $5 and concessions will also be sold.  Proceedss gathered at the event benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

3.     Also free this weekend?  A luminary tribute on Sunday to fallen members of the military.  It takes place at dusk at American Legion Paradise Post 79, 5329 Legion Place, New Port Richey.
