5 Things You Should Know Today, Jan. 7

1.     Other than patchy fog before 8 a.m, the first Saturday of the new year should be mostly sunny. Temperatures could reach a high near 73.

2.     A Labrador retriever adoption event is being held today at the Gulf View Square Mall. It is coordinated by the Humane Society of the Nature Coast and Labrador Retriever Rescue of Florida and lasts from 11 a.m. 2p.m.

3.     Cotee River Lions Charities, Inc.  is holding an “all you can eat” breakfast on  Sunday, January 8, 2012.. It costs $4. It starts at 8 a.m. at 8320 Plathe Rd, New Port Richey,  and lasts to 11 a.m.
