Here's a dose of something annoyingly cute with your five things.

1.     It will be mostly sunny today with temperatures reaching a high near 77 .

2.      Public feedback derailed a final vote on declaring most of New Port Richey . Now, city council members  have scheduled a workshop discussion in December, and are taking public comment in the meantime. Concerns and questions about the designation can be emailed to Lisa Fierce. 3.      Here’s something interesting to consider for the weekend: You’ve heard about that Occupy  Wall Street, Occupy Tampa and other Occupy gatherings? Well, an Occupy New Port Richey group has been started. Occupy New Port Richey is holding a pot luck and discussion in Sims Park on Sunday, starting at 3 p.m.  Subjects planned to be discussed will be the foreclosure and pill mill crises, the Occupy Wall Street movement, the act that created the FDIC and a court ruling regarding corporate campaign contributions
