6.5 Pounds Of ‘Candy’ Marijuana Found In Man’s Home
A New Port Richey man faces criminal charges after police served a search warrant at his home Friday morning.
NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A New Port Richey man’s alleged “candy” habit led to his Friday morning arrest on felony possession of marijuana charges, according to authorities.
Officials from the New Port Richey Police Department say officers served a search warrant on Louis Serball III’s William Tell Drive home around 7 a.m. Jan. 27. Once inside, they found 48.2 grams of leafy marijuana, an email from the agency said.
Police say Serball was also cooking up some questionable treats in his home. Detectives found 149 individually wrapped pieces of “edible candy marijuana” that weighed in at 6 ½ pounds, according to the agency's email. The candies were wrapped to look like Reese’s Pieces, Oreo cookies and strawberry cheesecake, the email noted.
