85K Potentially Lethal Fentanyl Doses Removed From Streets In 1 Week: Pasco Sheriff

32.8 grams of fentanyl and 244.8 grams of meth were found at a New Port Richey "drug house," the Pasco Sheriff's Office said.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — In the past week, deputies have removed more than 170 grams of fentanyl — the equivalent of more than 85,000 potentially lethal doses — from the community, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office wrote in a social media post.

The agency served a search warrant Tuesday on a "drug house" in the Gray Fox Lane area of New Port Richey, deputies said.

A man was arrested and 32.8 grams of fentanyl, 244.8 grams of methamphetamine and other drugs were found and seized from the home, PSO said.

With 2 milligrams of fentanyl being a potentially lethal dose, Tuesday’s seizure was the equivalent of more than 16,000 possible lethal doses of the drug, the sheriff’s office said.

The suspect faces multiple charges, including trafficking in fentanyl and trafficking in methamphetamine.

“The Pasco Sheriff's Office has zero tolerance for those who would do harm in our community, especially those who seek to profit from those suffering with substance abuse and addiction,” the agency said.
