Armed Man Told Deputies He Went 'Postal' in Moon Lake
Cecil Lambert, 57, was charged with two counts of attempted homicide.

A Moon Lake Estates man stands accused of firing a handgun and then placing the weapon against the forehead of a woman and pulling the trigger, but the weapon jammed.
According to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office, Cecil Lambert, 57, arrived at 10612 Evergreen St. in Moon Lake Estates on Saturday afternoon. He afterward told a Pasco County Sheriff’s deputy that he went to get his belongings from a travel trailer, which is near a shed-like structure on the property.
He saw broken doors and windows on the trailer and “lost it,” according to a sheriff's office report.

A woman was in the trailer’s garage when she heard a vehicle pull up and, shortly afterward, heard gunshots. She looked out her front window, saw Lambert and yelled at him. He smashed the front window with the arm that held the gun.
A man who spent the night in the shed structure with his girlfriend heard shots and came out of the structure. He told deputies Lambert fired his gun in his direction more than once.

The woman who was in the trailer left the residence by the back door and grabbed a baseball bat. The man Lambert had shot at told a deputy the woman walked toward Lambert.
Lambert placed the gun against the woman’s head and pulled the trigger, but the gun did not fire, the woman told deputies. The woman was not shot.
Lambert told a deputy he remembered the gun jamming, he racked it and it fired in an unknown direction.
"I went postal," he told a deputy.
Lambert was arrested.
Lambert remained behind bars Monday on two charges of attempted homicide and a charge of carrying a concealed firearm. His bail is set at $1,005,000.
