Boy’s Drowning Death Under Investigation

A 4-year-old Hudson boy died Tuesday after being found in a pool.

HUDSON, FL — The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the Tuesday drowning death of a 4-year-old Hudson boy.

According to the agency, deputies were called to Bayonet Point Hospital just before 4 p.m. Feb. 7. There they learned that Evan Pereaux’s father, Jason, had found the child in the pool of their Ed Street home. The boy was pulled from the water and taken to the hospital for treatment.

“Upon arrival, emergency room personnel were still treating the juvenile but he was pronounced dead by the ER doctor a short time later,” a Wednesday morning email from the sheriff’s office said.
