City Mechanic Killed, Another Injured In Workplace Accident: Reports
The incident, possibly an electrocution, occurred at a lift station in New Port Richey, reports said.
NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A city mechanic was killed and another was injured on Monday in New Port Richey, according to reports.
The two workers were performing routine maintenance at a lift station in the area of Bandura Avenue and Ashmore Drive, according to WFLA, which reported the incident was an accident and the surviving public works employee was taken to a hospital and later released.
Pasco County Fire Rescue received a call about the situation around 1 p.m., WTSP reported, noting the call was for an electrocution.
