Five Things You Should Know Today

Here are five things you should keep in mind to make it through your day.

1.     The New Port Richey meets tonight at 7 p.m. at 5919 Main St. The council will be reviewing contracts with employees of its police and fire departments. Several other issues are on the agenda.

2.     There are two meetings on countywide issues today, and they’re both out of town. The Pasco County Commission will discuss cutting school impact fees Historic Pasco County Courthouse, 37918 Meridian Ave., in Dade City. The meeting starts at 10 a.m., but a time certain for the impact fees has been set for 2:30 p.m. The Pasco School Board also meets at 9:30 a.m. at 7227 Land O’ Lakes Blvd.

3.     After a day-long delay, we’ve finally uploaded our video of students’ attempts to collect items for care packages for members of the U.S. military serving in Afghanistan. Find it here.
