Holiday Deputy-Involved Shooting: Suspect ID'd
An early Sunday morning deputy-involved shooting in Holiday resulted in no injuries, but a suspect is in custody.

HOLIDAY, FL — The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Sunday morning shooting involving one of its own.
According to the agency, deputies responded to the area of Darlington Road and U.S. 19 around 1:40 a.m. May 21 after receiving a call about a shooting in progress. As they arrived on the scene, the suspect vehicle was spotted leaving.

Deputies followed the vehicle and attempted to make a felony stop on it. The suspect, an email from the agency said, fired at them.
The vehicle then drove down Eastwood Lane. After reaching the dead-end, deputies say the person fired at the deputies. Shots were returned, but no one was injured, the email said.

The man in the vehicle has been identified as Christopher J. Cutugno, 26. Cutugno has been charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, aggravated assault, battery, DUI and DUI with property damage, according to the sheriff's office.
The deputy who fired on Cutugno has not been identified, but has been placed on paid leave during the investigation.
