Hudson Woman Dies In House Fire
An elderly Hudson woman died in a Tuesday morning fire.

HUDSON, FL — An early Tuesday morning blaze that left an elderly Hudson woman dead is under investigation by Pasco County and state officials.
According to Pasco County Fire Rescue, the blaze at a home in the 7800 block of Willow Brook Court was called in around 8:41 a.m. Sept. 19. When crews arrived on the scene, they found a single-family home heavily involved in flames with smoke showing, Shawn Whited, fire rescue’s division chief, wrote in an email. “An aggressive fire attack was initiated,” Whited said. “Fire crews found an elderly female in a back bedroom.”

The woman, who is not being identified, was pronounced dead on the scene.
County and state fire marshals and the medical examiner’s office are investigating. The cause of the blaze has not yet been determined, Whited said.
