Jilted Lover Charged In Man’s Murder: Deputies

A Port Richey man, 32, faces murder charges following the Saturday death of his girlfriend's lover, Pasco County deputies say.

PORT RICHEY, FL — A 32-year-old Port Richey man faces murder and domestic battery charges following the Saturday stabbing death of the man Pasco County deputies say was his live-in girlfriend’s other lover. He also stands accused of battering his girlfriend moments before the fatal stabbing occurred.

Brendan Sigismondi was brought into custody early Sunday morning, about 24 hours after the fatal altercation occurred, a sheriff’s office arrest report indicated. According to the agency, Sigismondi and his live-in girlfriend got into a fight in the early morning hours of Aug. 26. Shortly after being accused of dragging his girlfriend toward their bedroom by her hair, deputies say Sigismondi went outside the couple’s Regency Park Boulevard home.

Thomas Christopher Blow, 36, of New Port Richey, the arrest report said, was waiting outside. Blow and Sigismondi proceeded to get into a fight, during which Sigismondi is accused of pulling out a pocket knife and stabbing Blow.

Blow was found in the 7200 block of Embassy Boulevard by a passing taxi driver, the arrest report said. The driver contacted authorities, but Blow was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following his arrest, Sigismondi told detectives he “was upset due to his girlfriend being in a relationship with the victim,” the arrest report said. He also said, “he did not intend on killing the victim,” the report noted.

The discovery of Blow’s body prompted a manhunt for Sigismondi that ended on Hicks Road in Hudson shortly before 3 a.m. Aug. 27.

Sigismondi was booked into the Land O’ Lakes Jail on murder and domestic battery charges.

No further information is available at this time.
