Local Hero: New Port Richey Man 'Fights For The Little Guy' In Court

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

Dean Tong of New Port Richey is a forensic trial expert who assists attorneys and parents wrongly accused of abuse in cases that often include high-profile national court cases.

This year was especially arduous since the court system opened for the first time in more than two years since COVID-19 reared its ugly head.

Tong was especially busy and yet he helped several litigants reach successful outcomes in court. In addition, he was quoted twice this year in the National Enquirer in the high-profile cases of actors Johnny Depp and Alec Baldwin.

Tong said he is dedicated to "helping the little guy battle the government et al in court."
