Man Created 3 Facebook Accounts to Cyberstalk Estranged Wife: Sheriff

A Port Richey man is accused of using Facebook to harass and taunt his estranged wife.

PORT RICHEY, FL — A 31-year-old Port Richey man faces cyberstalking charges after Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies say he established three Facebook accounts to “belittle and harass” his estranged wife.

According to the sheriff’s office, Harold Connolly and his wife recently separated and now live in different homes. Following that separation, Connolly created Facebook accounts to taunt his wife and also “posted several nude photos of the victim,” an arrest report stated. Those photos, the report noted, were made visible to others.

Deputies say after posting the photos, Connolly messaged his wife on Facebook directly saying he intended to ruin her reputation, the report noted. He sent a follow-up message apologizing for the pictures, the report added.

Connolly, the report said, also asked his wife to not file a protection order against him. The wife, who is not being named, however, contacted authorities.

Connolly was charged with cyberstalking on Monday. He was already in the Pasco County Jail on an aggravated stalking charge related to his wife. He was being held without bond on Tuesday.

The arrest report noted Connolly admitted to making the Facebook accounts and posting the photos. Jail records indicate he was initially brought into custody on Sept. 18.
