Motorcyclist Hit, Killed By Car Making U-Turn At Red Light On U.S. 19: FL Highway Patrol
A motorcyclist died after being hit by a car that made a u-turn at a red light on U.S. 19 in Pasco County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
PASCO COUNTY, FL — A motorcyclist died Thursday afternoon after being hit by a car that made a u-turn at a red light on U.S. 19, Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
A Nissan Altima driven by an 85-year-old Hudson woman was heading north on the highway just after 4 p.m.
At the same time, a 27-year-old Port Richey man driving a Yamaha motorcycle was heading south on U.S. 19.

At the intersection of Beach Boulevard, despite a red traffic signal, the woman made a u-turn into the path of the motorcycle and was hit by it, FHP said.
He was brought to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
