A 22-year-old motorcyclist from Holiday was killed Friday night following a crash with a pickup truck on Alternate U.S. 19 in Holiday.

HOLIDAY, FL — A 22-year-old motorcyclist from Holiday was killed Friday night following a crash with a pickup truck on Alternate U.S. 19 in Holiday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 5:28 p.m., the motorcyclist was heading north on Alternate U.S. 19, approaching Louis Avenue.
A pickup truck driven by a 66-year-old Lakeland man was turning out of a parking lot at 1068 Alternative U.S. 19. The pickup truck driver had stopped for southbound traffic before proceeding south on Alternate U.S. 19 when the motorcyclist passed stopped traffic and entered the path of the pickup truck.

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital where he died.
