New Port Richey Restaurants Open For Thanksgiving Day 2023

Hotel Hacienda, Grandma Sally's, Rose's Bistro and Catches Waterfront Grill will be serving Thanksgiving feasts.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — For people who don’t want to spend hours or even days cooking and cleaning up from a big turkey dinner, several restaurants in New Port Richey are open Thanksgiving Day.

Restaurants open for Thanksgiving on Thursday, Nov. 23, offer a range of dining experiences, from fine dining to fast casual to fast food. In some cases, you’ll need to make a reservation, so plan as much as possible.

As always, Patch encourages you to call any restaurant on this list in advance to double-check hours on Thanksgiving Day, as many vary by location. Here are the local restaurants that plan to be open:

Hotel Hacienda

The newly renovated historic Hotel Hacienda, 5621 Main St., New Port Richey, is an ideal spot to celebrate the holidays with family and friends. Enjoy elegant holiday menus featuring and enjoy a relaxing stroll around the park or visit the quaint downtown shops after dinner.

The menu includes a choice of bacon and bleu salad with chopped bacon candy, apples and dried cranberries with fig vinaigrette or celeriac potage with celery root soup served with pickled pumpkin and finished with candied pecan crumble.

Entrees include a choice of turkey roulade paired with cornbread dressing, potato puree and topped with giblet gravy; medium-rare New Zealand rack of lack served with confit smashed new potatoes, fig and lardon Brussels sprouts, finished with red wine and balsamic demi glace; prime rib and French onion strata with crispy mushrooms and house-made au jus; poached halibut with aromatic white wine-poached halibut served with a Kabocha squash puree, garlic sauteed haricot verts and savory sage butter; and root vegetable risotto with golden beets, a potato medley, carrots and parsnips served with vegan herbed cream cheese and seared king oyster "scallops."

For dessert, The Hacienda is offering a trio of pumpkin crunch, smoked apple cannoli and a pecan tart.

Grandma Sally's Restaurant

A few openings remain for holiday seating at at 11 a.m. and noon on Thanksgiving Day at Grandma Sally's Restaurant, 5330 Grand Blvd., New Port Richey. Takeout is also available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. but only from the holiday menu.

The menu includes:

  • Turkey served with stuffing, mashed potato and vegetable, soup, salad and dessert for $16.99.
  • Prime rib served with mashed potato and vegetable, soup, salad and dessert for $23.99.
  • Leg of lamb served with mashed potato and vegetable, soup, salad and dessert for $17.99.
  • Baked ham steak served with mashed potato and vegetable, soup, salad and dessert for $15.99.
  • NY strip steak served with mashed potato and vegetable, soup, salad and dessert for $21.99.
  • The soup of the day is cream of turkey with rice and pumpkin pie is available for dessert.

Roses' Bistro Off Main

Rose's Bistro Off Main, 6238 Grand Blvd., New Port Richey, is taking Thanksgiving reservations at 727-849-4940 with seatings at 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

On the menu for $30 is roasted turkey, spiral ham, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, sweet potato pie, stuffing, gravy, apple pie and pumpkin pie.

Catches Waterfront Grill

Catches Waterfront Grill, 7811 Bayview St. Port Richey, will host a Thanksgiving Day Buffett with roasted pumpkin and frangelico soup and clam chowder, peel-and-eat shrimp, fall salad, a carving station with oven-roasted turkey breast with turkey gravy and cranberry orange sauce, hot buffet items including orange-glazed salmon, crab raviolis with a sherry lobster cream sauce, roasted pork loin with an apple and walnut chutney and smoked chicken, sides including buttery mashed potatoes, herb stuffing, green beans almondine and sweet potatoes, and assorted desserts.

The cost is $37 for adults and $18 for children 12 and under.

Sioux City Steakhouse

Sioux City Steakhouse, 8515 Little Road, New Port Richey, will offer a Thanksgiving feast starting at 11 a.m. with sliced oven-roasted turkey with gravy served with cranberry sauce, savory stuffing plus a choice of two sides (sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes with gravy, green bean casserole or buttered corn) and a slice of pumpkin pie for $24. FlameStone American Grill

FlameStone American Grill, 10900 State Rd 54, New Port Richey, and 4009 Tampa Road, Oldsmar, are offering a scratch take-home Thanksgiving feast. Place orders by calling 813-814-7778 or 272-282-1000.

Bonefish Grill

Bonefish Grill is offering a new take on traditional Thanksgiving dinner with items such as:Toasted Pumpkin Ravioli Starter — pumpkin-filled ravioli, breaded, flash-fried, topped with a petite-parsley garlic sauce, feta and lemon zest, served with extra on the side.

Swordfish & Pumpkin Ravioli features wood-grilled swordfish topped with crispy onions, crumbled feta cheese and a hint of brown butter, served with pumpkin ravioli and a seasonal vegetable.

Pumpkin Lava Cake with a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg with a cream cheese molten center, served warm and topped with house-made whipped cream.

And try the Pumpkin Expresso Martini with vanilla vodka, Kahlua, cold-brew coffee, a hint of coconut and warm pumpkin spice flavors, topped with a dollop of whipped cream, or the Fresh Apple Martini made with fresh apples infused three days in vodka and ginger liqueur, finished with a touch of honey and cinnamon sprinkler.

Thursday hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
