North River Road Streetscape Project Gets Underway In New Port Richey

The $1.42 million project includes the installation of 200 linear feet of 4-inch reclaimed water line and 1,340 feet of 12-inch water line.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — The city of New Port Richey has begun work on the North River Road Streetscape Project.

As part of the project, River Road will experience daily closures from Bridge Street to Veterans Drive. The city will attempt to minimize the impact to residents, businesses and visitors.

The city awarded the bid for the $1.42 million project to Keystone Excavators Inc. on March 21. It includes the installation of 200 linear feet of 4-inch reclaimed water lines and 1,340 feet of 12-inch reclaimed water lines, which will connect to the existing water and reclaimed water systems.

The project will require the demolition of existing sidewalks and driveways, new asphalt pavement, curbing, sidewalks, driveways, landscaping, an irrigation system, pavement marking and stormwater system improvements.
