3 Wildfires In 1 Day, Pasco County Officials Say
Three wildfires broke out in Pasco County on Saturday.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — Pasco County Fire Rescue crews had extinguished one Saturday wildfire by the early evening, but two others continued to burn.
According to the agency, crews were working a blaze at the dead end of Bolton and Hicks avenues around 6:30 p.m. While that fire is small, crews were having a difficult time accessing it, an email from the agency said. The state Division of Forestry was assisting with the blaze with a tractor and brush truck on scene.
Meanwhile, a 15-acre fire on Old Dixie Highway that broke out earlier in the day had been contained by Saturday evening. Even so, officials say the fire "will have hot spots throughout the night and the smoke will have the potential to be heavy in areas."
