• New Port Richey eyes new housing concepts (suncoastnews.com) — New Port Richey’s redevelopment agency is soliciting builders to construct two elevated “coastal cottage” homes on city-owned lots in Edgewater Gardens, testing a new flood-resilient housing style. Officials hope incentives and this pilot project will spur similar redevelopment on other flood-prone lots, replacing vulnerable or damaged homes with safer, more attractive neighborhoods over time.
