Pinellas Deputy Hurt In Pasco Crash With Tanker Truck: FL Troopers
An on-duty Pinellas County deputy was seriously injured in a crash with a tanker truck in Pasco County, FL Highway Patrol said.

PASCO COUNTY, FL — An on-duty Pinellas County deputy was seriously injured in a Tuesday morning crash with a tanker truck in Pasco County, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
Deputy Dakota Dellechiaie, 32, was driving his marked Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office SUV as he headed in to report to his assigned area just before 5:30 a.m., PCSO said.
An Amerigas Propane tanker truck driven by a 60-year-old Spring Hill man was reversing across the eastbound and westbound lanes of Hudson Avenue into a private driveway on Hudson Avenue at the time of the crash, FHP said.

Dellechiaie was heading east on Hudson Avenue when he collided with the tanker truck, traveling under its trailer.
He was extricated from the SUV and brought to a local hospital with serious injuries, the sheriff’s office said. He was listed in stable condition Tuesday around 8:30 a.m.
