Power Outages This Morning?

There was a very small number of Progress Energy outages in our area.

It was about 4:45 am Tuesday when the light on the walkway outside my window went out. It wasn’t the first time the power failed in my apartment building on Rowan Road this morning. But it stayed off longer than I expected.

I thought of the cold weather.

“We’re screwed,” is the sanitized version of what went through the New Port Richey Patch editor’s head. “At least we’re not too far from dawn.”

An uncounted period of minutes afterward, the power returned.
