Sheriff's Office Investigating Apparent Murder-Suicide

A man and woman have been found dead inside a home just east of New Port Richey.

Pasco County Sheriff's deputies discovered the two adult bodies at 9502 Paver Court Sunday night, and the Major Crimes Unit is investigating the case as an apparent murder-suicide.

The bodies were found with gunshot wounds. One wound appears  self-inflicted, but a media release does not state whether it was on the man's or woman's body.

A person close to the family worried about the woman living at the home when she could not be contacted, according to a media release.  She called the Sheriff's Office, and they arrived at 7:10 p.m. to do a welfare check. That's when they discovered the bodies.

No one else is believed to have been at the home at the time of the incident.
