Suncoast Foundation Awards $20,000 Grant
To One Community Now Pack A Sack Food 4 Kids Program
New Port Richey, FL (AUGUST 27, 2025) – One Community Now is proud to announce a generous $20,000 grant from Suncoast Credit Union in support of the Pack A Sack Food 4 Kids Program, which provides weekend meals to food-insecure children throughout Pasco County.
Every weekend, more than 1,500 students in 36 local schools face the uncertainty of not knowing where their next meal will come from once the school cafeteria doors close on Friday afternoon. Pack A Sack ensures that children have access to nutritious food all weekend long, filling the 65-hour hunger gap until they return to school on Monday morning.
This critical support from Suncoast Credit Union will allow One Community Now to continue expanding its reach and provide thousands of weekend meals during the 2025–2026 school year.

“Children cannot learn, grow, or thrive if they are hungry,” said Patti Templeton, Executive Director of One Community Now. “With Suncoast Credit Union’s partnership, we can give more children the security of knowing they will have food to eat over the weekend. We are deeply grateful for their commitment to investing in the future of our community.”
Suncoast Credit Union, Florida’s largest credit union, founded the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation to promote the education, health, and emotional well-being of children in the community. Each time a Suncoast member uses their debit or credit card, the credit union donates two cents to the Foundation to fund local initiatives. Since its inception in 1990, the Foundation has raised and donated over $45 million.
