Accused Hit-And-Run Driver Arrested In Pasco County
A 76-year-old Hudson man was arrested for hitting a motorcycle on U.S. 19 and leaving the scene after the crash, FL Highway Patrol said.
PASCO COUNTY, FL — The SUV driver in a Friday afternoon hit-and-run crash in Pasco County was found and arrested, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a news release.
A 34-year-old Spring Hill man was heading south on U.S. Highway 19 around 1:30 p.m. when he turned left onto Maryland Avenue into the path of the SUV and was hit by it.
The driver left the scene without stopping, which is required by state law, and headed west on Maryland Avenue.

Troopers found the vehicle suspected of being involved in the crash on Saturday afternoon at a home on Sheepshead Drive in Hudson.
The suspected driver, Kenneth Smith, 76, was also found at the home, arrested and charged with leaving the scene of a serious injury crash, the agency said.
