Updated: SWAT Situation In Holiday Over

Authorities set up a command post at Grand Boulevard and Flora Avenue after 9 p.m., but did not release the address of the call.

A situation in Holiday that involved a response from the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office's SWAT team ended after a few hours.

Authorities had set up a command post at Grand Boulevard and Flora Avenue after 9 p.m. Saturday after receiving a call from the area. A resident shot photos of deputies at the corner of Grand Boulevard and Front Drive in the Forest Hills subdivision.

Pasco Sheriff's Office Spokesman Kevin Doll told Bay News 9 after 12:03 a.m. that the scene was being deactivated.

The agency had received a call about someone who was possibly suicidal in the area, Doll said to Patch, but authorities did not know if the person was home. The person was "probably armed," Doll said at one time.

The SWAT team never entered the home, Doll said. The man who was allegedly suicidal denied that he intended to harm himself and a victim  became uncooperative, Doll said.
