WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — Tampa Bay’s first surf park has secured a site in Pasco County, according to a news release.
Peak Surf Park is set to open in 2027 in Two Rivers, a 6,000-acre master-planned community and mixed-use development in Wesley Chapel.
The park will feature a state-of-the-art surf lagoon powered by Surf Lakes technology, along with pristine beaches, entertainment venues, restaurants and wellness amenities, catering to both surfers and families.

In 2022, Tony Miller announced his plans to build a surf park in Tampa Bay. After nearly two years of competing for 35 acres of land in the region, he signed a land agreement in Two Rivers.
“The area, located in the heart of Pasco County, provides Peak Surf Park exposure to residents of West Central Florida’s coast and offers the Tampa Bay region an opportunity to hang ten in the heart of the state,” the news release said.
The current plans for Peak Surf Park include 35 acres of land anchored by a surf lagoon which will utilize Surf Lakes technology — an Australia-based leader in surf lagoons.
The surf park will also feature a half a mile of pristine beaches, concert and event venues, bars and restaurants, retailers, education and business facilities, and fitness and wellness amenities.
“Beyond my longtime passion for surfing, it has been my goal to create a truly unique, unparalleled guest experience in the Tampa Bay area,” Miller said. “This project will continue to have a number of moving parts to get from concept to conclusion, but I look forward to delivering Peak Surf Park as a destination for those seeking waves, adventure, entertainment or their ’third’ place for community and lifestyle.”
To fund pre-construction, Miller recently launched a crowd funding campaign.
