Tampa Woman Charged With DUI Manslaughter In Accident In Pasco: FHP

A 30-year-old Tampa woman was charged arrested after crashing and killing a Deltona man who was thrown from his Jeep Wrangler.

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — A 30-year-old Tampa woman was charged DUI manslaughter following a crash Thursday night in which a 25-year-old Deltona man was killed, said the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to troopers, at 9:30 p.m., Solanch Quintanilla Coca was headed east on State Road 54 in a Toyota RAV 4. Just east of Starkey Boulevard, troopers said she overtook and collided with a Jeep Wrangler driven by the Deltona man.

Troopers said he wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the Jeep Wrangler. He was rushed to the hospital where he died.

Troopers said they determined that Coca was driving impaired at the time of the crash. She was arrested and taken to the Pasco County Jail.
