Teenage Girl Found Dead Near Cypress Lake Preserve: Hernando Sheriff
A teen girl whose body was found Thursday near a preserve in Ridge Manor is believed to be the victim of "homicidal violence," HCSO said.
RIDGE MANOR, FL — A teenage girl found dead Thursday morning in Ridge Manor is believed to be the victim of “homicidal violence,” the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office said.
Her body was found just after 9:30 a.m. by a passerby off Ridge Manor Boulevard near Cypress Lake Preserve.
Though she hasn’t been publicly identified, her next of kin have been notified about her death, the sheriff’s office said.

No other details about her death are available while the investigation continues, the agency said.
