The Main Event: Saturday Night Live Impromptu Fundraiser for Homeless Women's Program

Where: 6241 Lincoln St., New Port Richey, Fl.

When: Saturday, April 9; 7 p.m.-10 p.m.

The Women’s Recovery (Resource) Center of Tampa Bay is raising money for furnishings for its new temporary home for homeless women and their children. The program will offer parenting classes, nourishment and other resources to its clients. It is set to open May 1, tentatively, in west Pasco County. The nonprofit is looking for four-six bunk beds, as well as mattresses, a day bed, a fold-out couch and more.  Tonight's event will feature Spring Hill band First Glance as well as karaoke and other performances. The event is expected to continue weekly for as long as necessary
