West Pasco Residents Trickle in for Presidential Primary Voting

Some show up in the early morning to cast their votes for the Republican of their choice.

Locals trickled into the in the morning to vote their support of a candidate at the ballot.

Voted for: Newt Gingrich
Why:
“I’ve wanted to vote for him for years. I think he’s wonderful. In his world.” She went on to say: “I’m sure Congress will actually play a part” in his administration.

Mike Holloman:

Voted for: Newt Gingrich
Why:
One word: “Conservative.” He went on to say: “Plus, I’m from Georgia.” 

Jim Luper:

Voted for: Mitt Romney
Why:
“The only person who is going to draw the independents and keep the conservatives is Mitt Romney."

Betty Black:

Voted for: Rick Santorum
Why:
“I’m so disgusted with everything, I voted for the boy at the bottom of the list, who was Santorum.”  On Romney and Gingrich: “I refuse to vote for either one of them, and it’s because of all of this advertising and negativeness.”

Denise Houston:

Voted for: Ron Paul
Why:
“We need experience to pull out of this,” she said. Also, “He’s not afraid to speak the truth.”  Someone is needed who will draw support across party lines, said Houston, who has voted as an Independent in the past. “I actually registered Republican so I could vote for him.”
