Woman Accused Of Injuring Teens In Hit-And-Run Crash Arrested In TN
The initial crash occurred on Oct. 12 on Route 19 in Pasco County, police said.
PASCO COUNTY, FL — A Tennessee woman was arrested and charged this week after Florida authorities said she struck two teens on a scooter with her truck and then fled the scene.
Kelsie Renea Moorman, 25, of Memphis, was taken into custody by the Tennessee Highway Patrol following the Oct. 12 crash on Route 19 in Pasco County, the Florida Highway Patrol said in a statement.
According to police, Moorman was driving a Chevy pickup truck north on Route 19 when she struck a motorized scooter headed eastbound on Hudson Avenue. At the intersection, police said the two vehicles collided before Moorman fled the scene.

The driver of the scooter, a 16-year-old Hudson boy, and his 15-year-old male passenger from New Port Richey both suffered serious injuries and were taken to an area hospital for treatment.
According to police, Moorman eventually fled to Tennessee, where she was located in Memphis through a collaboration between the Florida Highway Patrol and the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
