3 Men Rob New Tampa Apartment at Gunpoint

The robbery occurred early Wednesday morning.

The Tampa Police Department is looking for three men it says robbed an occupied New Tampa apartment at gunpoint.

The robbery took place at 15501 Bruce B. Downs Blvd. at 12:09 a.m. Wednesday, according to police.

The three men, who had their faces partially covered, forced their way into the apartment and ordered all the occupants to the ground at gunpoint, police said.

One of the men kicked one of the occupants in the face and struck him in the head with the handle of a gun, according to police.

“The suspects demanded money from the victim who gave them $3,000 in cash from his wallet,” police said. “Another victim had a black purse taken, a Citibank Credit Card, two Social Security Cards belonging to her children, and $60 in cash. Two of the suspects began ransacking the apartment, apparently looking for cash.”

The men also stole several Gucci belts, police said. Then, they fled in a four-door black vehicle, possibly a Toyota.

The men were all described as being between the ages of 18 and 23, police said. They were all between 5-feet-8-inches and 5-feet-10-inches tall and between 140 and 200 pounds. They were all wearing black T-shirts and blue jeans.
