Community Passover Seder Planned at Chabad Jewish Centre

The community is invited to a Passover Seder, the traditional Jewish feast marking the beginning of Passover, Monday, March 25 at the Chabad Jewish Centre at Wiregrass, 2124 Ashley Oaks Circle, Wesley Chapel.

The Passover Seder recalls the story of the liberation of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt and includes a symbolic meal of matzoh; maror or bitter herbs, symbolizing the bitterness of slavery; charoses (a mixture of apples, nuts, wine and cinnamon); beitzah (a roasted egg as a symbol of life); karpas (a vegetable representing hope and redemption); zeroah (roasted lamb symbolizing the paschal sacrifice); and wine, representing the promise of redemption.

The suggested donation is $30 per person or $100 per family.
