Fire Contained in New Tampa

There were no reported injuries.

Fire rescue workers got a fire in  New Tampa under control Saturday.

Tampa Fire rescue crews responded to a call of a structure fire in the area of 18493 Brindle Club Drive Saturday at 2:55 p.m., according to a press release from Tampa Fire Rescue.

They quickly contained a five-acre brush fire and protected “multiple exposures,” according to the release.

There were no reported injuries, and the fire is under control.

The fire is still under investigation.
