Florida Aquarium Offers Free Admission to Federal Workers
Here are a few things we thought you might like to know about today, Oct. 4.

Free Admission at Florida Aquarium
The Florida Aquarium is offering free admission to all federal workers and one guest until the U.S. government shutdown ends, according to the its Facebook page. The admission offer is good for all federal employees; including anyone furloughed by the shutdown and any other military and civilian employees still on the job. Present your federal ID card at the ticket window to receive a free ticket for you and one guest.

Does NSA Spying Go Too Far?
The National Security Agency’s actions in the war on terrorism are increasingly coming under fire. Even with a government shutdown under way, the Senate Judiciary Committee has been probing the agency to find out if it’s been abusing powers by spying not only on suspected terrorists, but also Americans. The most recent admission from the agency involves cellphone tracking. It seems the agency admits to testing whether it could track Americans’ cellphone locations, according to the Huffington Post. Do you think the NSA has gone too far?
Wet Weather Possible
It looks like the break from wet weather might be coming to an end. The National Weather Service says we have about a 30 percent chance of storms today, Oct. 4, in both the daytime and evening hours. Storms are expected to be scattered throughout the Bay area. On the upside, the high shouldn’t break that 90-degree mark.
